What a day, perfect weather and a mostly downhill ride into the beautiful Hudson Valley.
The highlight of the day, besides the "Dexter" (basically a ruben sandwich with two fried eggs that we found at a little general store - yum), was the FDR home, museum and Presidential library.
We had the time to spend 2 1/2 hours touring the wonderful National Historic site. It was fabulous to learn about man and our history at the actual site where much of it occurred.
I have a few pictures that require captions:
FDR's favorite place to sit and observe the Hudson Valley
FDR's bedroom on the second floor left
The front of his home
The actual room where fireside chats were broadcasted.
