Today was our biggest climbing day of the tour, at nearly 4000'.  The weather was dry and clear with a bit of a headwind.  We started out in the fog and headed up a whopper of a hill.

We crossed into Maryland,  but did not see the official sign.  Most of the day was rural.  Some of the manors we passed were spectacular.

Tomorrow we head into DC for two days off and for Tom, Rob and me, visits by our wives (yeah).

  2. Even the downhills look scary to me. Especially with all the gear you carry!
